By default, BandSteering is enabled: both bands use the same Wi-Fi name and the router selects the best band for each device. To use separate networks, go to Network > WiFi Settings, disable BandSteering and confirm. The band is added to the end of each Wi-Fi name (_2.4GHz and _5GHz), and each band gets its own on/off switch.

Tips: Your devices may be disconnected for a moment while the change is applied.

Port forwarding or remote access does not work.

Port forwarding and DDNS only work if your Internet connection has a public IP address. Most mobile operators give a private IP address, shared between several customers.

1Check your IP address

Go to Network > Mobile Settings and look at the IP Address. Addresses starting with 10., 100.64 to 100.127, 172.16 to 172.31 or 192.168. are private: connections from the Internet cannot reach the router. Ask your operator whether a public IP address is available with your plan.

2Check the rule

In Network > Port Forwarding, check that the IP address of the device is correct and that the rule Status is Enable. Reserve the address of the device in Network > LAN Settings > Static IP Lease List so that it does not change.

3Check the firewall

In Security > Firewall Level, the High level filters incoming traffic more strictly. Select Low (default setting) if a service no longer works.

Warning: Opening ports exposes your devices to the Internet. Open only the ports you need, and protect your devices with strong passwords.
