Reset, reboot and firmware update
How do I update the firmware?
Go to More settings → Manage → Web page upgrade:
- Automatic: enable System Auto Upgrade to check for and install updates automatically on every boot and network reconnection.
- Online check: click Check for upgrade to trigger an immediate check.
- Local (manual): download the firmware file for HOPI-5G-D6 from www.strong-eu.com. Drag and drop it into the upload zone and follow the three-step wizard (Select file → Upload → Upgrade). The device restarts automatically when done.
Warning: Never disconnect the power or remove the HOPI Mobile Wi-Fi unit from the HOPI Home Docking during a firmware update. This can permanently damage the device.
How do I check the current status of the device (IP addresses, WAN, firmware version)?
Go to More settings → State. This page shows a full live summary: Wi-Fi network names and status, operation hours, memory usage, model, serial number, software version, LAN/WAN IP addresses, WAN MAC address, and operating mode.
Where do I find the serial number and firmware version?
- Web UI: More settings → State. The Model, SN (serial number), and Software version are shown in the device information table.
- Product label on the underside of the HOPI Home Docking.
Note: Always have the model (HOPI-5G-D6), serial number, and firmware version (e.g. V1.3.4) ready when contacting STRONG support at www.strong-eu.com.
