My Powerline adapters switch off on their own. Is this normal?
Yes. The Powerline 600 Duo Wi-Fi Mini has an automatic power-saving mode that reduces energy consumption by up to 85%. When no activity is detected on the Ethernet port, the adapter goes into standby. It wakes up automatically when a signal is detected again, which can take a few seconds.
If the adapter goes into standby when you don't expect it, check the following:
- The device connected to the adapter by Ethernet (router, computer, TV box) must be switched on. Standby is triggered when that device is off or asleep.
- The Ethernet cable must be firmly connected at both ends.
- When pairing adapters (High Security Level 2) or resetting them, each adapter must be connected by Ethernet to a working device. Otherwise it may go into standby during the procedure.
